Breaking news!
(Backstory: please read Gumi City Shelter Part I for the full story)
After more than three months, we have received an answer from the government. The rights to run the Gumi City animal shelter have been awarded to Gumoh Animal Hospital!
And now this story has a happy ending. As a result of everyone’s hard work, the right to run the Gumi City animal shelter has been given to the veterinarian association at Gumoh Animal Hospital.
This great organization will now be in charge of all stray animals in Gumi City. CARE will not spare any support for the Gumoh Animal Hospital, who will need to provide maximum welfare for these unfortunate animals.
We were very happy to see this situation come to a conclusion before the end of 2011. Thanks to the tireless efforts of CARE members and supporters, we can all celebrate this great achievement.
We are strong because of you.
CARE promises to always be the voice of animals who cannot speak for themselves.
Recently, a dog was involved in a car accident in Gumi City. The dog would most likely have died without ever receiving proper emergency care with the previous owners of Gumi City shelter. Luckily, the dog is now being treated at Gumoh Animal Hospital. CARE is paying for the treatment and Gumoh Animal Hospital has offered a significant discount. This is what happens when good organizations work together.
As we say in Korea, “Everybody FIGHTING!!”
Here are pictures of the dog currently undergoing medical treatment:
