Dog Burned Alive

On April 20, 2012, at Gimje middle school, a group of students witnessed the horror of an innocent dog being tortured to death.

A middle-aged man tied a dog by its neck to a pole and began torturing it. Witnesses (students) said the dog experienced a slow and painful death, as it was burning. Eventually, the dog died of shock.

This happened in broad daylight in a public school and was done by a man familiar to the students. There should be no problem finding the identity of the man responsible. The attached photos were obtained from the students who bravely recorded this horrible crime.

CARE is determined to change the animal protection laws in this country, so that animal abuse is finally taken seriously.
In addition, we need to increase public awareness about animal welfare. This case is in line with other recent animal abuse cases, which clearly shows that animal welfare concerns continues to be ignored in Korea.

This case is now being investigated by the Gimje police.

CARE holds strongly that the man responsible for this heinous act deserves the maximum punishment of 10,000,000 KRW or one year in jail.

Please increase our support by signing the petition to prosecute animal abusers.
CARE is seeking a lawyer for this investigation to ensure that justice is served.
