Damyo was rescued in a town near Gumsan.

At the time of rescue, Damyo was only 4-5 months old (we estimate his birthday to be in March of 2008). Unfortunately, because of the unsanitary conditions of his former home, he had significant health issues, including ectoparasites and a bacterial skin disease. Overall though, his health and spirit were strong. Over the following several months, CARE treated his conditions and brought him back to full health.

As Damyo reached maturity, he dealt with some eye problems, which are common for a Chow Chow. Thanks to a generous member who sponsored him, Damyo receives constant 안검증 (eye medical support/testing).

Today, Damyo lives healthily at the CARE shelter, where he is often referred to as a gentle giant. Please reach out a helping hand and come volunteer and visit Damyo at the CARE shelter. One day, he hopes to live in the arms of a warm and caring family.
