Grape’s next-door neighbor was a barbaric dog meat eater who reportedly tortured and killed more than 100 dogs. Jang-su was one of his victims. According to city officials, the neighbors used to complain about painful noises coming from dogs at night. Reportedly, the dog meat eater would ruthlessly beat his dogs to death before consuming them.

When CARE went to rescue Jang-su, Grape’s owner left her with CARE because he could not afford to take care of Grape anymore. Also, he mentioned that Grape would get upset when she heard scary cries and groans coming from the dogs next-door.

Currently, Grape lives in our CARE shelter, in Pocheon, Gyonggi-do. Grape is a very energetic girl who loves to play with other dogs and people. She has quickly adjusted to the new environment and gets along very well with her playmates. She is currently waiting to be adopted by a loving home.
